How To Connect With Your Subconscious

Connecting with the subconscious mind is one of the best tools to help us succeed in life

The very first step to personal change is the understanding that each of us  (unless incarcerated) is free to choose the direction of our life. And even when your movement or choices are restricted, how you respond to individual limiting circumstances begins in your mind. We are not under any obligation to follow the traditions and patterns of those around us like family, friends, parents; we have to find our own pathway to happiness by mapping out a clear road to what we desire from our life.

Many of us feel trapped in the life we are leading, unable to change course. We feel frustrated, lonely, stressed out, discouraged, empty, scared, unfulfilled or simply just bored.

Imagine your subconscious mind like a perfect secret garden you played in as a child but have since lost the key to open the gate, somewhere along the way to adulthood, leaving you constantly searching for a way to get back in there somehow. A place where the truth has no fear.

Connecting with the subconscious mind is one of the best tools to help us succeed in life.

When we truly take the time to tell ourselves what we want, it will make it happen for us. It does take a lot of training to direct our thoughts in the right direction, but in the end, it really helps us take control of our lives by improving our motivation, helping us become happier and increases our emotional intelligence, that is thinking of positive things and letting it sink in to our subconscious so the outcome is good things instead of bad. We all have the power to shape our life and everything is set up perfectly to support that power when we connect with our subconscious.

The best way to make any change in our bad habits, depressive thoughts or lack of motivation for personal greatness, is to communicate with ourselves before we go to sleep planting positive visualization of the things we desire to change how we feel.

What is great about using our subconscious and visualization is that we are moving toward something rather than trying to escape something. For example, it’s much more powerful for you to think about what it will be like to get that new job as opposed to focusing on trying to escape the current one.

It is a tragedy that we do not appreciate the power of our unconscious mind and its huge potential. Most people scramble their unconscious mind with negative future events, which means that they are potentially praying for bad things to happen to them, we have all done it.

Because this happens outside our conscious awareness it becomes a blind spot. It is critical to ‘watch our thoughts’. We must become aware of our habitual thought processes and choose to change them, in order to discover our natural powerful intentions. You want to lose weight but have tried everything possible to achieve this goal, try visualization before you go to sleep and plant in your subconscious mind a thin, happy, healthy body, capable of running a marathon.

Use your unconscious mind to create a future you want rather than one you don’t want. Meditation and prayer is about having contact with the subconscious mind, unconscious mind, God or intention, what you call it does not matter, only that we understand and acknowledge there is a force that creates our world. This force works moment to moment and we cannot contact it with our own awareness.

The subconscious mind can come up with the most amazing, fresh and innovative ideas for helping us achieve almost anything. The subconscious mind offers these ideas to our cognitive mind free of charge and is just happy to please.

This nightly visualization, prayer, meditation time works most effectively on personal problems, like fear, stress or insecurities, the things that keep us in a desperate, depressed state during our daily routines, unable to find the clarity to make change. It's important to say what I teach is common sense and in no way connected to any religion. I am filled up with faith, hope and happiness because I have seen the results for myself not from a religious perspective although most religions do discuss this path to the subconscious mind.

We can all have the life we want. Of course we will have doubts in the beginning but when we wake up in the morning and the answer to whatever we couldn’t figure out the day before is just waiting for us like a brain email, eventually if we stay the course what we desire becomes our reality.

Meditation and relaxation before we sleep are two great techniques to improve our mental and physical health and help program our subconsciousness to whatever we want to achieve the next day.

The power of the subconscious is sadly, very underestimated in our culture today because the truth is, everything starts in the subconscious. Every idea and thought starts here, so it is vital to get to know more about it in order to achieve any personal growth.

"Be careful what you water your dreams with. Water them with fear and worry and you will produce weeds that choke the life from your dream. Water them with optimism and solutions and you will cultivate success." Lao Tzu.

“Never go to sleep without a request to your subconscious.” Thomas Edison
