Keep Stress At Bay The Hollywood Way

Talking therapy, (you may have heard of N.L.P. (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and C.B.T. (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy)) is the most effective ways to combat stress and depression.

In Hollywood everyone, including pets, has their own personal therapist. It has become as important and normal as having a personal stylist. A problem shared is a problem halved. Although stigma, prejudice and mis information about talk therapy in other countries and cultures around the world do prevent many people reaching out for help.

You may have one or more of the various symptons of stress; anxiety, obesity, hair loss, extreme weight loss, addiction issues but the cause is buried somewhere deep in the sub conscious, usually things that are just to painful to deal with so we lock them away to fester. The process, going through the pain in order to heal, is something very traumatic and difficult to do alone without the help of a skilled professional.

"The only way out is through" Robert Frost quote.

In reality everyone, at some point, should seek the help of either a therapist, a personal trainer or lifecoach to help unravel and rebuild how you feel. Stress is the biggest cause of misery, aging and the number one cause of cancer for all human beings.

In this current economic crisis stress is cracking the foundations of happiness in the UK where we are fortunate to have free health care and Improving Access To Psychological Therapies IAPT available for all. The national institute for health and clinical excellence (NICE) recommends computerised cognitive behaviour therapy available free to everyone through the NHS or your GP.

The program is called Beating the Blues.

This is a way for anyone to take advantage of personal self help and a treatment for mild and moderate depression, stress related feeling of hopelessness and panic attacks through an online course of 8 self navigated sessions.

The current facts and figures for people suffering with some form of stress related illness are too depressing to state, in 2019 the UK recorded a 25 % increase in deaths by suicide, why mastering self therapy is so important if you want to be healthy and happy.

Take advantage of having a personal therapist on hand when ever you need them by picking up a copy of The Mind Detective by Shirley Yanez, a positive way to keep stress at bay.
